In just 3 days time, it will be our Terminator II, judgement day. We have been preparing for this day for months and it would not be fair if we fail. The journey to freedom is tough and long. We must go through 九九八十一难 in order to 取到真经.However, we shall not give up. We have come this far, faced 80 difficulties and now theres only one more left. Yet, the final battle is the most difficult. If we win this final battle, we will win the war! 养兵千日，用兵一时, our months of mugging will not come to waste. This will be our final struggle towards freedom and we cannot loose. Our failure will mean the end of humanity, the end of the world. So boys and girls, get ur ass up and get ready to challenge those exams to a shaolin showdown!

Heyhey.. I feel I wanna say some things:
Lets just go straight to the point shall we?! Shan't be too wishy-washy.

We are the Muggers' Alliance. Do you know what is the true meaning of an alliance?! According to the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary, alliance is:
1) a group of countries, political parties or people who have agreed to work together because of shared interests or aims
2) an agreement to work with someone else to try to achieve the same thing

So, do we do that? Do we work together and cooperate with one another to achieve a common goal?

I'm not trying to be preachy, but I am just trying to say that I think we have to try to be more understanding towards one another (not that I'm saying I'm very understanding), but lets all have a brighter point of view of everyone. Eg. The venue for mugging was brought up for discussion, which is gd, but don't you think we should discussed it in a "healthier" way and not have "bloodshed scenes"?! By the way, its just an opinion, please don't take it too harshly.

Also, everyone have different view points, that is why it is good to express your views. But I think we should do it in a more gentlemanly or ladylike manner. Anyway, like what Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" said: We should try to put ourselves in other ppl's shoes, go under the person's skin. If you could do that, you are quite the making of a real gentleman/lady.

I sound preachy even if I think I'm not, and I actually quoted Harper Lee!! I'm surprised at myself. I'm like writing an essay. Ah well, the ironies of life...

Anyway, I just hope everyone gets along well and happy together.

Lets just concentrate on our studies for now ok?!

Mugging marathon

My fellow members! Exam is near. As muggers, we celebrate the exams by mugging 1 month before the exam. And after the exams, we will celebrate post exams by mugging next years topic. And I shall set the official exams holiday as 1st september of every year until 1st november. This 2 month holiday is the longest holiday in singapore. So from 1st of september onwards, all meetings will be stopped so that we can celebrate the exams.

kk lemme respond to the discussion...

i don mind going somewhere else for mugging session... as long as it's convenient, conducive, and we can stay there for long hours...

some library would be most preferred, though there isnt any NLB libraries nearby, and i don think the NY ppl can come to our library or vice versa...

anyway, i shall hereby announce that all MA games such as truth-or-dare and five-word-game shall be banned until examinations are over~~~ all mugging sessions shall only concentrate on mugging or other non-distracting activities =)

Can everyone tell me what's their nick name? Like say "tian tang"?

I think we must recognise the fact that mugging at KAP isn't very effective nor efficient since there will always be "some" distraction in the form of our chairman and first lady. LOL. It would be ideal to mug at the library but I wonder whether that's possible.

But of all places, PLEASE DO NOT GO TO POOLSIDE. Oh my god.

You can either go inside to enjoy the air-con to be "supervised" by the ever watching aunty. Or you will be sweating like hell with someone keeps calling "whose samba fried rice is that???"
Like that really can mug...

Haiz. And sometimes I think there's too much people liao that i cannot resist the temptation to talk. Guess it's just inevitable.

Really sorry as I have been busy and am not and will not be able to attend MA sessions as often as you all.. Pls excuse me k?! V v v sorry...

Ohya, btw I have a suggestion. Perhaps maybe we don't need to always meet at KAP?!
Maybe its possible to have sessions at the HCI poolside restaurant, easier for all?! Also, I think more ppl would be willing to attend.. dunno what you guys think. Just a suggestion.

So will some people be able to join now?

I think I heard at the earlier meeting that the membership is to be capped at around 20, and supposed to be a club just for non-exco or something like that. Seeing that we had almost or even reached that figure of 20, perhaps these late-joiners so to speak, may have "observer status".

How's everyone's preparation for exams anyway?

And have everyone completed their ACE (for Hwachong) and SIA (for Nanyang)? SIAN SIAN
